The Tio Chew Association of Thailand have now added a new collection of 120 copies of Qiaobi sent from Shantan Guangdong. This batch of family correspondences have just finished their last joureny at the The Qiaopi History and Culture Exhibition.
The exhibition was held from July 9th to 10th, at CC Thai building in Bangkok, 120 entities were on display, combined with pictures, words and videos for illustration purposes. The two-day events attracted many oversea Chinese and local visitors.
Kawin Yongcharoenrat, is the chairman of the Thai Chinese New Generation Business Association and a young second-generation of overseas Chinese, who was born and raised in Thailand. He shared that the exhibition is a great lesson for him on Chinese history and culture, allowing him to get to know the family history and entrepreneurial journey of many overseas Chinese.
Kawin Yongcharoenrat hopes that more events revolving around the Chinese history and culture could come to Thailand in the future, so that the new generation of overseas Chinese will further understand the history of his ancestors. "I plan to bring my family and children back to my hometown this year."
In fact, Kawin Yongcharoenrat is actively building a platform for entrepreneurial youth in Thailand and Shenzhen. As the chairman of the Shenzhen Youth Entrepreneurship Promotion Association he encouraged overseas Chinese youths in Thailand to go to Guangdong to find investment opportunities. At the same time, he is helping young entrepreneurs in Shenzhen who are determined to expand overseas markets and set up business in Thailand." The entrepreneurial journeys of the older generation have been great examples for us. And we are going to stand on their shoulders, and go further."
